At the heart of Toothbar’s exceptional care are Dr. Kimberley Barclay and Dr. Lauren Jacobsen, two highly skilled dentists with a passion for transforming smiles and redefining the dental experience. With deep roots in the Austin community, both doctors bring a modern approach to cosmetic, restorative, and preventive dentistry, ensuring that every patient feels empowered, comfortable, and confident throughout their care.
Dr. Barclay, a lifelong learner and advocate for personalized dentistry, combines her extensive education with a passion for aesthetics. Originally from London and raised abroad, her global experiences and dedication to dental excellence have shaped her approach to care. As an active member of several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, she is currently working toward her fellowship with the Academy of General Dentistry. When she’s not perfecting smiles, you’ll find Dr. Barclay enjoying live music in Austin or diving into her love of travel and scuba diving.
Dr. Jacobsen brings empathy and innovation to Toothbar, inspired by her childhood experiences with dental trauma. Committed to patient-centered care, she focuses on making visits anxiety-free with the help of the latest technologies. A native of Chicago, Dr. Jacobsen is deeply involved in Austin’s dental community, leading study groups and working toward advanced certifications. Outside the office, she’s an avid runner who can be found exploring Lady Bird Lake or cheering on her beloved Chicago Bears. Together, Dr. Barclay and Dr. Jacobsen lead Toothbar with a vision of care that goes beyond the ordinary—making every visit a positive experience.

Having suffered from dental trauma as a child, Dr. Lauren Jacobsen is committed to providing exceptional dental care in a gentle and anxiety-free manner.
A lifelong learner, Dr. Kimberley Barclay is actively involved in local and national dental societies, including the Capital Area Dental Society and Spear Education courses on Cosmetic Dentistry.
Dr. Morren prides herself on her meticulous attention to detail and values the importance of transparency and education in patient care.
Growing up, Dr. Gibbons always looked forward to her visit to the dentist and recognizes that not everyone feels similarly. Because of this, she is committed to managing patient anxiety by providing a dental experience that is compassionate and sensitive to each patient’s needs.
Dr. Bakke graduated at the top of her class at The University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio Dental School in 2016 and currently commits over 100 hours of continuing education annually to remain up-to-date with the latest developments in the field and technology.
